When it comes to sustainability, often a series of small changes can really add up. A great example of this is Cosy Corner, a holiday park in Mount Maunganui. Cosy Corner recently won the TIA Sustainability Award at the @Holiday Parks New Zealand Awards.

Park owners, Greg Davidson and Vicki Woodcraft were recognised for their recycling and composting efforts, measuring their carbon footprint and other community and fundraising initiatives.

They also use solar energy to reduce the need for power - even the pool is heated using solar panels which they made themselves many years ago! Great Kiwi ingenuity Greg and Vicki. These efforts have inspired guests to improve their own recycling habits at home too.
